Power BI // Visuals // Consistent Support for Custom Number Formats Across All Native Visuals

As a frequent Power BI user, I find the inconsistency in how native visuals handle custom number formats quite frustrating.

Some examples:
• Certain visuals allow custom number formats for data labels, while others restrict me to predefined options like “K”, “M”, etc.
• In visuals like stacked bar charts, I can sometimes apply a custom format to individual stack elements, but not to the total bar value – which feels arbitrary and inconsistent.
• These limitations force me to handle formatting through DAX instead, which defeats the purpose of having formatting options in the visual settings.

My request:
Please ensure that all native visuals consistently support custom number formats – for all relevant elements, including individual values, totals, and tooltips.

This would greatly improve consistency, flexibility, and user experience, and reduce the need for unnecessary DAX workarounds.

Thank you!
