Hello, I would like to suggest a change for Power BI REST API Gateways - Add Datasource User to be able to add AD group using the identifier to atleast grant Read access. In our organization we are managing a lot of datasources (gateway connections) and since we can add the AD group manually using the power bi service page, I do not see the reason to not be able to do it via the REST API. This change would save us a lot of afford now spend managing the datasources. Thank you.

- alraNew MemberWe strongly support this request. In our organization we are operating Power BI at enterprise scale and manage datasources via automation and CI/CD pipelines. The lack of support for assigning Entra ID groups via REST API forces us to: - resolve groups into individual users - maintain hundreds of users manually on datasource level - implement complex and fragile workarounds This is a major blocker for enterprise automation and governance. From a governance perspective, managing access via groups is mandatory to ensure consistency, compliance and maintainability. Without this capability, datasource management cannot be aligned with enterprise governance standards and automation practices. This feature is critical for enterprise-scale Power BI environments.
