Power BI Desktop Auto Update

I'm shocked that I'm required to download a new version of Power BI every time you roll out updates. It's 2015, push those updates via the web to my desktop app, how hard can that be?

Inviável manter um software dessa forma!

The fact that this is "Under Review" and not chosen surprises me. It's pretty standard practice to have an update tool or built-in updater on an application. Microsoft does this with every other application, and Power BI should be included.

M$ pls wake up and do something with this feature. It is rly pain to update like 20 PCs every time new version is up.

It's problematic for trainees that have low permissions and have to get it installed through higher rank employees. So this would be really helpful for quite few people. Please add this feature soon.

I agree with Todd...I would have been dead dead dead in the water after the August update if I couldn't uninstall the new and reinstall the older version until things got fixed. It's a really great fast and furious dev cycle you guys are pushing...and the price is an occasional issue requiring a roll-back.

Please make this happen as soon as possible. Every time an update rolls out, I have to go around to 8 different peoples workstations and install, or else we have different versions and then our work is no longer compatible. I also have to make sure its updated on my laptop, and surface tablet. I love the innovation and the massive improvements being released again and again but it is an inconvenience to the users to get the new features.

Hold a minute there. I just came across an issue were the August 2016 Update to Power BI Desktop BROKE the connectivity to IBM DB2. To resolve, we had to un-install and (fortunately) had a previously downloaded version available. If anything, make it an option as it may not be desired by all.
