I am trying to very similar analysis (almost identical - 550,000 customer sites). It seems like there is a limit around 30,000 records. For most of the geographic analysis that I do, 30,000 is much too small to be useful. A limit of 1M would be the minimum that useful. A lot of the Excel/PowerMap analysis that we are doing are in the range of 10's of millions of rows.
