At this point in time you can have basically three type of Interactivities between visuals:
- Filter
- Hightlight
- None
I would opt to have a fourth option: Filter (strict)
Basically what would happen with Filter (strict) is that when (visual/slicer) A has a strict filter relation to (visual/slicer) B
- Any selection in A will filter the values of B
- Any selection in B will NOT filter the values of A
- When there is a new selection in A, that makes some current selected values of B impossible, those selections are automatically unselected.
The reason for this request is that I often set 'hierarchic' slicers. You first set slicer A, and then choose a value of slicer B.
But When people then try to filter something else in A, they are very confused about the selection of slicer B (because it should be impossible based on their selection in A.
