Extract comments from API

With the newly released functionality of commenting for reports, it would be great to be able to retrieve these using the API in order to create summaries or overviews of the comments in a separate report.

Yes, agree. Would be great if we could extract timestamps and even the data points refered to. It's important for people using operational data to be able to explain why there is a deviation, and it's important to revisit these comments in the future!

This would be amazing. At the point of looking at paying for some custom visual/PowerApp development to get around this, which is ridiculous given we've only just managed to get a Premium business case through the organisation. The current arrangements are fine if you're just sharing with a small number of users, or pushing an idea around for discussion. They're utterly hopeless for any serious corporate purpose.

We would need it as well. In budgeting, it is good to analyse later, what was the process behind certain costs etc.

I have had the same request from my accounts team they want to be able to comment on individual rows in a report, and then for others to see those comments and then feed those reported items back into a filtered version of teh report to ensure they have processed all exceptions and so on

This has been a feature request from our team as well. There is a requirement for a consolidated approach to capturing and displaying comments across multiple versions of a report type (customised for specific audiences). Being able to manage the comments via API will allow for capturing and grouping of these comments into a centralised repository which can be flowed to the required reports.

I cannot believe comments cannot be accessed easily - or exported with PDF/Powerpoint. For our team, it is a nightmare to collect team comments internally and transfer from a contractor team / external developer

We want to use Comments as a way for our dashboard users to submit questions, comments, bug reports, and requests for enhancements to our developers. Therefore, we want to be able to export the comments, so that we can organize and manage them, and report status back to our users, covering the collection of comments. I understand that you can directly reply to a specific comment, but if/when we have dozens of users, who eventually submit hundreds of comments, spread across multiple sheets in a dashboard, reviewing comments one at a time does scale very well.

With a new release of Scorecard in Power BI Service and add Comments/Notes feature. It would add a great value to be able to extract comments/notes from Scorecard and Dashboard/reports alike in Power BI Service. We want to capture and use Comments as a way for our scorecard/report/dashboard stakeholders to submit questions, comments and insights. We need a way to export them so that we can organize and manage them, and keep historical track.
