In the latest version of Power BI, Direct Query connection with Hive is not possible. We can use ODBC for Hive and only import connection is availble with ODBC. So, it will be great if we get Direct Query(Live) connection for Hive.

- Power BI supports Hive LLAP through the HDInsight Interactive Query connector. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/hdinsight/interactive-query/apache-hadoop-connect-hive-power-bi-directquery Regular Hive (i.e. non-LLAP) is non-interactive, and does not provide a usable Direct Query experience.
