Data Labels Inside Pie Charts

I'm currently using an array of pie charts, filtered down to 1 value, alongside a table of data. As you select each pie chart or "button" the table filters down to just what that button represents. Would it be possible to make the value labels that would normally appear with the data labels below/around the pie appear in the slice of the pie instead? This functionality would make my "buttons" have numbers on them to list the values the filter down to.

  • This feature is part of our June update! You can read about it on our blog: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-june-2018-feature-summary/#detailLabels
  • I wish it were possible to put the pie chart labels within the chart and not only outside, as it is today.
  • I agree. Being able to maneuver the position of the data label will make it easier to achieve a more well organized dashboard. And well, this function should be obvious...
  • It is common stuff to have data labels inside a Pie chart (like in Excel) I miss it in PowerBI Desktop
  • I think we need a "Data Labels" > "Position" - "Auto, Inside, Outside,..." (the same Bar Chart) Regards, ManNVSM.
