Customizing filter for default selection is good to have feature. For Example, if month is displayed in filter, so allowing filter to select Current month automatically will be a great add on feature...
I do have similar requirement with default selection. In Year and Month slicer the default selection must be available max year and available max month. Whenever the report executes then the default selection should Max year and Max month.
