I love the ability to export data from a chart, but one reason that we are using power BI is to stop the spreading of data through spreadsheets. I would like to be able to control who (out of who I shared a dashboard) can and can't export data to excel from a chart or report. This could also work if it was just an option on a report or dashboard I have created (all users would not be able to export data).

This ability can be controlled on the tennant settings, but this is way to broad. It would be great if this could be controlled at a much finer level, either user, dashboard, data set or work space. Or even on the visuals within a report. Currently at the tenant level this capability is really limiting. - chuck6New MemberOnce enabled at the tenant level it has minimal value unless work space owners can control export functionality at the work space level, report level or visual level. We urgently need more granularity in what is exposed and what is not exposed to export data to facilitate adoption in our organization.
- pbiideas1New MemberThis is now a setting in the Tenant settings (section: other) where you can set a list of users that are allowed to export data, or a list of users that cannot export data.
