When I showed my reports to Manager level people, they asked if I can have a note or comment for each report which describes them. It makes user understand what the charts inside the report are about. Mobile Power BI has annotate feature which is very cool and it would be better if we have similar feature in Desktop version too.

How exactly can it be used?

- We need this kind of feature. Our purpose is to discuss about reports, however. For example - why the trend is like that and what can we do to change it.

I saw this was possible on power bi report server but not yet in the cloud. It is possible on mobile...- I know this feature has been added in Powerbi server, can we have it on cloud service too?
- I could not agree more! Being able to write comments on the report is one of the biggest limitations as of right now when building a published report :(
- We need this feature as soon as possible! This makes the product more appealing for departments that need to provide comments on their reports.
This seems old so I thought I'd reactivate the conversation thread.
Many teams in our organization have raised this requirement.
The comment feature works both in apps and shared reports on Power BI Service.
But they only allow to enter comments for current datetime, and there is no icon or marker on the chart associated with the comment.
So you can't select only the comments for a specific period. All comments will show up in descending order of datetime of entry.
