Add regular expression support to as native database feature

Very important feature for more complex cleansing and validation

Yes, this would be extremely helpful.

Please include ASAP regular expression functionality in Power BI. It extremely short development time with DWH and NoSQL etc It will be greatest feature to fliter, clear and stlit data in ETL process. Extremely helpful to validate alse. Thanks.

RegEx would be a deal maker! I'd also add a whole bunch of functions, eg, Soundex, Levenshtein etc. I'm still new to Power Query and wonder if i can add functions using "M". If so, then it would be neat if somebody could start are library of these. Similarly, i already use a VBA library of such functions inc RegEx in MS Access. Makes sense to have something similar in Power BI.

Excel users do not have access to R scripting in Power Query. This feature would be even more useful to them.

This is completely necessary !!! I need to replace a column that "contains" certain data (not the complete occurrence) this is so basic!! please implement it ASAP!! this has been here for so long !! 3 years and you can't put it ?!!
