Add “Copy Conditional Formatting to All Measures” Feature in Matrix Visual (EN/TR)
Currently, in Power BI, there is no built-in way to quickly copy conditional formatting rules (such as font color, background color, data bars, etc.) from one measure to all other measures in a matrix visual. Users have to manually apply the same formatting rules to each measure one by one, which is time-consuming and error-prone—especially in reports with many measures.
The existing “format painter” only works for entire visuals, not for copying conditional formatting rules between fields/measures within the same visual. There is no option to bulk apply or “paste” formatting from one measure to others inside the matrix.
Why is this important?
- Saves significant time when working with large matrices and many calculated measures.
- Ensures consistency and reduces the risk of mistakes or missed formatting.
- Aligns with user expectations for productivity and ease-of-use in report building.
Suggested solution:
Introduce a feature/button in the matrix visual’s formatting pane that lets users:
- Copy conditional formatting rules from one measure and apply them to multiple (or all) measures at once.
- Optionally, select which formatting types (font, background, data bars, icons, etc.) to copy.
Community context:
This feature has been requested and discussed by multiple users in the Power BI/Fabric Community forums, and would be a highly appreciated improvement for anyone designing complex matrix visuals.

Şu anda Power BI’da matris görselinde bir ölçüye uygulanan koşullu biçimlendirme kurallarını (örneğin yazı rengi, arka plan rengi, veri çubukları vb.) diğer ölçülere hızlıca kopyalamanın yerleşik bir yolu yok. Kullanıcılar, aynı biçimlendirme kurallarını her ölçüye tek tek manuel olarak uygulamak zorunda kalıyor. Bu da özellikle çok sayıda ölçünün olduğu raporlarda zaman kaybına ve hatalara neden oluyor.
