Importance to have events with a defined schema as a source for an eventstream

Hi,

I need to design an eventstream that has events from an Azure Event Hubs as a source.

About these events I've some sample data but not the related schema.

In order to evaluate a possible effort to obtain the schema from the sample event data,

I'd like understanding the possible advantages for the eventstream to manage events with a defined schema

(this schema should be created in the Schema Registry of the Azure Event Hubs).

Any suggests to me, please? Thanks

Hi @pmscorca ,

Using a defined schema for your events has several advantages:
1. Data Consistency: A schema ensures that all events follow a consistent structure, making it easier to process and analyze the data.
2. Validation: Schemas help in validating the incoming data, ensuring that it meets the expected format and types.
3. Interoperability: With a defined schema, different systems and applications can understand and process the data uniformly.
4. Efficiency: Schemas can improve the efficiency of data processing by enabling optimizations like schema-based serialization and deserialization.
