According to the error message, it seems like you are updated with the wrong configurations in the requests. Did you working with rest api to update data source settings?
If that is the case, I'd like to suggest you get the corresponding data source first, then you can use the response configuration strings as the template to modify with new properties and use them as the parameters of api requests.
