We are currently researching PowerBI integration in one of our applications with PowerBI. In particular, we researching if the owner of the application can use the data of the application to use it for marketing purposes.
One of things we currently don't do in the application itself is keep track of temporal data. For example: n number of items created in the application, n number of items deleted in the application.
Is PowerBI, in particular when using datasets in the API, suited for these kinds of data, so in essence to track data as it is in a given point of time?
Not sure what exactly you're after. In my opinion Power BI is more to present reports rather than track data. Maybe you have interest in Real-time in no time with Power BI.
If you have recently started exploring Fabric, we'd love to hear how it's going. Your feedback can help with product improvements.
A new Power BI DataViz World Championship is coming this June! Don't miss out on submitting your entry.
