Hi - currently I have a report connected to our datawarehouse using import method. I bring in the data the use Power Querey to manipulate the data to unpivot the table, so that the user can select from a list of multiple attributes in a report via a slicer.
We are moving to a SSAS Tabular datamodel, so I will no longer be able to perform this process. Is there a way of achiving the same outcome in the SSAS Tabular data model itself?
Following, I am aslo looking for the same feature in Tabular model, but seems like it is not an option so far.
If your data source is SSMS, you can create a view using Unpivot function in the database use that as a table in SSAS.
In my senario, the tables are grown in horizontally and it is difficult to update the view frequently. So, I am looking forward if Microsoft could add this option in Tabular model.
Let me know if you found an alternate for this option.
The combination of "Personalize Visuals" and Field Parameters should have you covered for that.
