When I insert a SubReport that's reading from another Report in my workspace, I get this error.
The report i'm trying to pull from has no issues when I view it independently and other members of my workspace can view it as well.
The only issue happens when I try to pull that nicely working report into a subreport in another file

According to your screenshot, it seems that the subreport is trying to connect to the data source(s) for which the credentials haven't been provided or are incorrect. Could you validate and try the following steps?
