Solution architecture and license requirement for Power BI Embedded, SSO, Adhoc reporting

Hello,

I need help here.

My client would like to have a Power BI embedded for their SAAS based application [multi tenant environment].

Below are the bullet points of requirement -

- White-labeled with Microsoft PowerBI based embedded BI.
- Ad-hoc reporting
- SSO, RLS

Client has procured the Power BI Premium license. Could you suggest to me how I can accomplish all the above requirements?
Do I need furthermore licenses?
How many Power BI Pro licenses are required along with the Power BI Premium license?

I beleive your client purchased the wrong license. I don't know all the specifics but it sounds like they should have purchased Power BI Embedded capacity.

I believe it is going to come down to who target audience is for the app, internal or external users. If internal, you can probably stick with premium. If it is external, then you want embedded.

In either case, you only need a Pro license for the authors of reports. So you could have a single Pro license in either case.
