Can you select different Calculation Items from one Calculation Group for use in separate Visuals? I'm trying to use One calculation group for different visuals. Wanting to keep the number of calculation groups to a minimum...
EX: I want to have CYMTD, PYMTD, Variance, CY YTD, PYYTD, Variance in One Calc Group. I want to use in Two separate visuals: 1) MTD & 2)YTD Last thing...
All while NOT using slicers.

Yes. Just add to calculation group to the filter pane for each visual, and select the calculation items you want to see
Hi @JBankston ,
Thank you for using Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
Thankyou @Deku your suggestion is Correct! Adding the Calculation Group to the Filter Pane for each visual is an effective and simple way to control which Calculation Items are displayed.
Ensure you have a Calculation Group that includes all the necessary Calculation Items (e.g., CYMTD, PYMTD, Variance, CY YTD, PYYTD, Variance).
In Power BI, you can use the Calculation Items from the Calculation Group in different visuals by setting the filter context for each visual.
For the MTD visual, set the filter to include only the MTD Calculation Items (e.g., CYMTD, PYMTD, Variance).
For the YTD visual, set the filter to include only the YTD Calculation Items (e.g., CY YTD, PYYTD, Variance).
If you need a dynamic way to switch between MTD & YTD in the same visual, you can use Field Parameters. This allows users to toggle between MTD and YTD calculations without needing separate visuals!
I hope this helped! Feel free to ask any further questions. If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accept as Solution" and give us Kudos to assist others.
