Scheduled data refresh is not working properly.

Hello,

My scheduled data refresh is not working properly. It is getting stopped rndomly and showing error message as "your data gateway is offline or could'nt be reached". Is there any changes in the setting needs to be done. How this gateway connection is made ?

    Hi Anonymous ,

I think your data source needs you to configure gateway to schedule refresh. The on-premises data gateway acts as a bridge to provide quick and secure data transfer between on-premises data (data that isn't in the cloud) and several Microsoft cloud services.

For reference: What is an on-premises data gateway?

There are two type of gateway, on-premises data gateway(standard) and on-premises data gateway(personal). You can choose the gateway based on the requirements and the connection mode of the data source.

    Difference between two types:

    For reference:

    Install an on-premises data gateway

Use personal gateways in Power BI

Then add the credential of your data source in gateway in Power BI Service. After all things are configured correctly, you can set schedule refresh.

    For reference:

Add or remove a gateway data source

    Configure scheduled refresh

    Best Regards,
