We are trying to create an application which embeds the Power Bi Report into our ISV (independent software vendor) application by using user owns data concept.
We want to retain the slicers selected options by user, without saving the report. Is this possible? The slicer settings are retained in the power bi service but they not reflected in the embedded report without saving.
One possible scenario, we could think of is, we can persist slicer selected options in database. If the user sets filtering in the report, our code can get slicer settings by calling report.getFilters save it to database. Then when that user return or login back, we could retrieve those persisted values from db and reapply it the power bi report.
Is this feature available by power bi, by default, or is something we have to code and maintain it locally. Or it can be added to a future idea.
