Read Dashboard Values Programmatically (Embedded Alert Potential)

I am looking for a way to enhance our "App Owns Data" scenario power bi embedded application with data alerts. I've looked into XMLA endpoints but that is going to be very tedious to implement with our current report setup. Does anyone know of a way to programmatically read dashboard values? Open to any and all options. We just need a way to provide our customers with a list of tiles/metrics and allow them to set their alerts. Then hourly we could check the dashboard values against their parameters to see if we need to pass along an alert. If anyone has successfully built a workaround for data alerts in embedded environments it would be great to understand how it can be done.

Hi @derekg1127 ,

I think you can set alert in Power BI Service.

For reference: Data alerts in the Power BI service

However App owns data doesn't support your end users to set alerts.

You can submit a new idea to improve the Power BI.
It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Please explain why XMLA would be tedious to implement in your setup.
