Hi ,
We currently store our Power BI reports in a repo, then using a release pipeline deploy them to differenert environments (DEV,TST,UAT etc), all workspaces are premium. Then update the datasource (currently all Azure SQL DBs) via the REST API to the appriopiate source system.
I am looking at a rather than all reports connecting directly to source system, they all connect to a shared power bi dataset; which is refreshed from source.
Via the REST APIs can you programatticaly change a report source, from one power BI dataset to another? I can see in the API list of available sources doesnt include Power BI dataset but does include Azure Analysis Services; which is basically the same as power bi premium. So could we just choose that?
