R Custom visual with plotly table

I am trying to create an R custom visual that uses the plotly table but when trying to use it in power bi service, it gives the following message:

"Loading required package: XML Loading required package: htmlwidgets Loading required package: ggplot2 Loading required package: plotly Attaching package: 'plotly' The following object is masked from 'package:ggplot2': last_plot The following object is masked from 'package:stats': filter The following object is masked from 'package:graphics': layout Error: Trace type must be one of the following: 'scatter', 'box', 'bar', 'heatmap', 'histogram', 'histogram2d', 'histogram2dcontour', 'pie', 'contour', 'scatterternary', 'sankey', 'scatter3d', 'surface', 'mesh3d', 'scattergeo', 'choropleth', 'scattergl', 'pointcloud', 'heatmapgl', 'parcoords', 'scattermapbox', 'carpet', 'scattercarpet', 'contourcarpet', 'ohlc', 'candlestick', 'area'
Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details."

Isn't the table type available for power bi service?

I am also facing the same issue.

Did You manage to find the solution for the problem?

Kind Regards,

Hi @Anonymous,

If I remember correctly, Power BI service doesn't support plotly's option table, so I used the package htmltable and managed to build what I needed.

Best Regards,

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for the reply.

It would be have been great if the power bi service supported table for plotly since display and colors are better in plotly than the integrated R visual, nevertheless I tried contacting Microsoft's support team for help as well..even they seem to be clueless..

I will use ggtexttable for displaying the KPIs (which I am trying to display using plotly..), since I have used ggtextable previously.

Kind Regards,
