I'd like clients to be able to trigger a flow, but it doesn't seem possible in an embedded environment. The objective is that the client can send filtered data to an API and see the API output on demand. I've got this working in desktop and service.
However, it looks like Power Automate isn't supported in an embedded (app owns data) environment. I then tried PowerApps and found out that it only works if the client authenticates using their own Microsoft account. Is this understanding correct and is there any way around this?

I think you can try to create Caven app in power apps side to integration with power automate operations. Then you can integrate this app in power bi visuals(PowerApps visual) and use this report to embed.
