Hi, I am looking to create a Power BI report that needs to refresh as the data changes in the source (which is real time). The source is databricks and the diect query connection to it seems to be working fine. I understand Power BI has auto refresh capability with minimum refresh frequency as 15 minutes but that will not work as the requirement is to show data in real-time. I also understand we can create streaming dataset and develop dashboard on top of it but we are looking to create a report instead of dashboard as it would also us to interact with the report and use filters which I believe dashboards does not support. Is there anything else that I can try to support real-time reporting in Power BI with direct query option?
Thanks
Hi @shb,
There isn't a connector of Databricks for now. Maybe you can try the Spark (Beta) connector. Please refer to power-bi/desktop-directquery-data-sources. About Direct Query, please refer to power-bi/desktop-directquery-about#when-is-directquery-useful.
Best Regards,
Dale
