Power BI Embedded in app individual user view saved?

We are embedding Power BI Reports in our internal website to improve some data tracking. I am the Power BI guy. Not the development team that is actually doing all ofthe Azure and web design work. I have very limited knowledge on that part of the process, but I figured I would ask all of you guys instead of bothering our very busy IT department.

The questions that were just put to me that I am unsure of the answers:

1. Will any changes a user makes to their view instance of the embedded report be saved when they next open the webpage or will it revert to the default view?

2. Can I change the default view so that it updates to the current month in the timeline filter without have to create a dynamic time filter (which I understand is just a relative date splicer).
