Power BI Embedded: Report Theme Inheritance?

Are report themes not inherited in Power BI embedded?

 

Scenario:

We have a Report that is using an underlying custom theme. When the report objects are pinned to a Dashboard, the user selects "Keep current theme" and all looks well in the Power BI Service between the Dashboard and the Report. Smiley Happy

Consuming the Dashboard object via the Power BI JavaScript SDK results in the "default" theme for the Dashboard and the custom report theme for the Report. Smiley Sad

The following JavaScript warning is thrown:

Value: Error loading theme - undefined

 

Is this expected behavior or a bug?
