Hi,
I've recently enabled the personalize visual capability on power bi reports, that are powered by PowerBi Embed Events. I've a requirement to capture actions user has taken when personalizing the visuals. Now, there is an event called `visualSelected` which can be used, but its not just triggered for only personalize visual change.
Any leads would be appreciated,
Thanks.
Hi @AbhinavSingh03 ,
Are you referring to the Personalize Visual feature in Power BI? Based on the official documentation, it seems like there are no restrictions on using this feature with embedded reports.
However, in the current design, there isn’t a dedicated event or a specific flag within the event arguments that explicitly distinguishes personalization actions from standard visual selections. This means that events like visualSelected are triggered for any visual interaction, not solely for personalization actions.
Best Regards
Hi @Anonymous ,
Yes, I am referring to the same. I am using this capability through PBI Embed, and was looking to see if there are any alternatives, but as you clearly called out, its not supported currently. Is it anyhow on the roadmap for near future or any work around that can be used to capture it, like implementing a custom hook to capture and distinguish personalize actions.
