I ahve been trying to pull data via Java API which is working perfectly fine. When I create parameter and pass it in the API via the advanced editor, it works fine too. How do I enable the end user to enter the parameter value on the main screen once they open the report, similar to a slicer. I need the report to display the records only for the passed value.

Hi @Vineetjsr1984 ,
As far as I know, it is a preview feature, so there are many limitations when you are using Parameter as a slicer.

If your end user has the permission to your dataset, they could change parameter in Power BI Service as well.

Dynamic M parameters are only supported for a limited set of data sources at the moment.
