Hi There,
We have to consume S4HANA Cloud CDS veiws with parameters in Power BI, please find the below scenario
1. Creating Custom CDS view using sales order cube [standard CDS]
2. CDS with parameter
After communication scenario and communication arrangements, genetrated Odata Service url in S4HAna cloud
3. In power bi tried to consume this odata url through Odata feed, we are facing the error as below.
Anyhow, We can able to consume the CDS without parameters using Odata service Url in power BI.
Please suggest us how to pull the CDS views with parameters.
Thanks & Regards,
Abdul Suhana.
Hi there,
Iam new to PoweBi, i have question that, do we require SAP HANA database to consume parameterised standard CDS views to power Bi through Odata url in S4HANA Cloud, or else do we have any other option withouth using HANA database we can consume cds views to powerbi.
Actually when iam trying to create CDS views in S4HANA cloud, given parameters and generated Odata url to consume data in PowerBi, iam getting error like this when iam loading the data.
Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataSource.Error] OData: Request failed: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. (Runtime Error: 'TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED'. The OData request processing has been abnormally terminated. If you use SAP S/4HANA Cloud, please create an incident. Otherwise, if "Runtime Error" is not initial, launch ADT feed "Runtime Errors" or transaction ST22 / SM21 (system log analysis) for details and analysis.). '
Hi @Abdul_Suhana ,
It seems that some fields couldn't be found in your data source, I think you can try to remove this field in advance editor and try again.
Transform Data > Advance Editor > find "YY1_Salesorder..." and remove it in M Query.
Or please check your data source and make sure whether it is in it.
Also you may refer to the official documentation below to check if the prerequisites for connecting to the SAP HANA database are met.
