Hello.
We have a need to export pivoted data from Power BI, into Excel, with the ability to drill down. I realize that there is a feature that has been requested, but not yet implemented, to do just this. It is a major need for my company. We are a small team, and we really can't handle the administrative/development overhead of installing and maintaining SSRS or SSAS to accomplish this.
Surely someone has a simple trick to do this?
Thank you in advance.
I think you can use "Analyze in Excel" option. it will help you to achive your requirement.
Analyze in Excel would be a good option for certain users, but not for all. In addition, when you refresh, it will overwrite the previous data, and there is a strong possibility that someone will do that before saving an offline copy of the previous report. this would be bad, because we need to keep copies of monthly reports.
According to this link, the Matrix export will be availiable for public preview in October. This looks exactly like what we need. Any thoughts on this?
Hi @cspann,
If you have any additional requirements or personal insight about this feature, you can consider to submit to the idea forum or send feedback to help improve the preview feature usages.

Hi @cspann,
AFAIK, power bi export feature will export the soruce table records with underline or summarize mode, they did not support exporting the pivoted records or keeping current visual styles.

Is teaching your users how to use "Analyze in Excel" an option for you? It would do all this and then some, but it requires a little bit of training.
