Need help in incorporating input features into PowerBI dashboard

Hi,

 

I am curently working on a powerBI dashboard and want to incorporate 

 

1. User input feature 

2. Saving the user input values in my backend (SQL Server)

 

I have tried enabling the user input option  using 'What if parameter' and Backend saving using  r scripts but the results are not consistent with usage.

 

Need help in terms of definite steps i will have to take to enable these features on to my dashboard.
