Jira API pull - "DataFormat.Error: We found extra characters at the end of JSON input"

I've tried tons of examples off the internet, but still keep getting this DataFormat.Error. Any advice to finding the issue?

Does it have anything to do with paging data coming back? Is it the call going out? Wish the error messages were a bit more descriptive here.

This could be the API did not return a properly formatted JSON.You can try using Fiddler or F12 of the browser to view the content actually sent by the API.
