We have downloaded Microsoft Power BI Desktop and we have a website with Universal Google Analytics (UGA).
When we get data, and pull it into Power BI from GA, the new and returning website users add up to more than the total number of visitors, i.e. a returning visitor is being classified as (we think) a new visitor too many times.
We think we need to add a custom dimension, which is client ID and the scope is session to GA for Power BI to differentiate and accurately breakdown new or returning users.
The question is: Has anyone else experienced this issue and what do/did you do to resolve it?
