Get Data from Power BI rest API

Hello everyone,

I wondered if it is possible to get Data from Power BI rest API ( I am pretty sure the answer is no but we never know). The purpose is to use Power Bi as a Data source for a client that is outside the organization.

Is that possible?

"Get Data" is too generic.  Please be more specific. What format do you expect?  Or are you thinking about a live connection to the XMLA endpoint?

(and yes, you can use the REST API to download the .pbix, for example)

Well I have a report on Power Bi service. My client wants to connect to the data of that report and store that data for historical use. So, I wondered if power bi rest API could do that? Like could my client use Power Bi as a Data source?

You may be better off creating a solution that uses the actual data source.
