Gateway has been applied to report based on SQL server db. But whenever the refresh occurs,it fails.

Hi

I have a report based on local sql server db. To schedule refresh, On premise gateway has been created with same server name and credentials as used in the report. The gateway has applied to the report successfully.

@Ajinkya

Can you ensure that the datasources in the gateway is connected? Could you try to remove and recreate the new datasource?

If datasource is not the problem, please follow below step in excel.

  1. Open Excel
  2. Click on the data tab (or Power Query tab if Excel 2013)
  3. Click on New Query
  4. Select SQL Server
  5. Enter in the server information as prompted
  6. Click Load

By the way, is it possible for you is remove the dataset and republish the report?

@Eric_Zhang

1) Ensured all datasources are connected succefully and even recreated them but problem facing.

2) Excel is not available on client machine so i am not able try mentioned steps.

3) It will not be possible to republish reprot without dataset.

Hoping more inputs. Thank you.
