I'm trying to build the option to export a matrix as it appears in a custom visual to excel, but cannot because the windows.open is blocked (PowerBI has allow-popups disabled in the iframe). If anyone has a way to do this, please let me know.

The feature is necessary because users want to export the report to excel exactly as they see it, not a denomrlized dataset which the report uses (which is currently how export to excel works in PowerBI). This type of feature is standard in many BI platforms and required if we are to get mass adoption and not have to re-create reports in excel manually.
There's an idea on the idea board for this, and has 400+ votes, but no response from Microsoft yet. This is why I'm trying to convert our matrix reports of financial statements to a custom visual, but the hurdle now is being able to export them.
