Embedding Reports in an Application

Hello,

I have two reports that I would like to embedd into a desktop/ mobile application. What I am confused about is the liscencing required for this. Would I need to pay for Power Bi Embedded based off of node types, or would I be able to do this with the "Website or portal" option under the "Embed report" in the File tab of my reports since I have the Pro liscence? Are there other options? The goal is to allow the user choose a report by clicking on an image/icon relative to it (if they have the right credentials) rather than having the reports listed in the Power Bi Apps/ Workspaces. This application would be available on both the IOS and the Windows operating systems.

Thank you in advance!

Hi  @srpeters ,

According to my research, if you need to embed PBI reports into desktop/mobile applications, you may need to use embed for customer or embed for organization, the difference between these two embedding methods mainly lies in the validation method for report opening, you can check this official document for the specific difference:

Regarding the licensing requirements, if you are going into production, you can choose to purchase embed SKUs and grant them to the workspace of the embed report depending on the number of users you have and the data load of the report, you can check out this document

@Anonymous This app will only be used by those within my orinization. If I am understanding "Embed for your orgonization" article correctly, I would not need to pay for Power-Bi-Embedded to make these applications so long as only those within our orgonization is using it?

Thank you so much for your insight!
