Custom data labels for an air chart
Hello community,
I have an air chart which plots the evolution of a parameter across time. I want to customize data labels so for each point i want to show the value and the category of event at this point.
Is there any method to that without tabular editor? (I don't have licence to work with it )

Hi Anonymous - if you're talking about using calculation groups, then some form of external tool is currently needed as they cannot be authored natively in Desktop.
Tabular Editor is probably the most accessible means to do this and if you don't have a license for Tabular Editor 3, Tabular Editor 2 is still freely available and kept up to date, and will support calculation groups (it just doesn't have the premium features of Tabular Editor 3).
Alternatively, you can try this using PowerShell and the TOM libraries - Phil Seamark (Power BI CAT) has a blog post that may help you get started here.
