Creating push dataset from sql server

Hi- i need to create a realtime dashboard from sql db. I know the process but the only issue im facing is that i dont know how to create a push dataset from sql server tables.

Hi @Future_logic,

In fact, you can't directly use SQL server to send data to power bi side. You need to deploy an application or service to schedule extract data from SQL server and send to power bi is side.

There is ODATA functionality in SQL server. May there be a crack head who wrote the code to connect REST service and push data to PBI Dataset?

Hi @Future_logic,

In fact, you can't directly use SQL server to send data to power bi side. You need to deploy an application or service to schedule extract data from SQL server and send to power bi is side.
