Hi Everyone,
I have been searching all over and I see some "Future feature" votes on this, but I don't expect this feature to make it into live. I am fully aware that the ellipsis and download data is an option, but I am dealing with a very non tech-savvy user. The end user is looking for an action button that can export the table contents into Excel.
Ideally I would like just a small button on the upper right of my report, that the user can simply push and it will be joined with the table on the page, and download the Excel formatted file for him. The constraint on rows is not an issue, as we will have already restricted the filter to 1 option and the rows are no where near 30,000.
I've spent some time looking online and I don't really see anything in the Developer forums related to creating Action buttons, or anything even remotely close to what I am looking for. Maybe this is possible via R or Python embedded on the report? I am not too familiar with how to do that with those coding options, but having an option may be useful.
Thank you in advance for any information!
Hi @Anonymous ,
You don't need to create such a button, Power BI has the 'Export data' feature.
Best regards,
Lionel Chen
