Creating a Custom Map - missing "add map" option

Hi All,

Both new to Bi and this forum so let me know if this isn't the correct spot.

I am trying to create a heat map for activities in a construction site. Watched a few different videos on creating a custom map but I don't seem to have the right options to import my TopoJSON map file. The first image below is from a tutorial and there is an "Add map" option under the paint roller ("format" I think) and then under shape. The second image is what I see, which appears to lack alot of options from what I've seen on the demonstrations. If I change "Map Type" to custom I can add a map type but when I import my map file (which is just a bunch of polygons) here it comes up distorted (see second image). I figure adding a map type is different to add map. So my question is why does my BI appear to lack options other people have, and how can I get the "shape" dropdown and "add map" option to appear, I have downloaded recently and its a work account, I am in Australia. Not sure if any of these factors mean anything but I can't figure out why mine appears different.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You are using New format pane.

Try to switch back to the old version.

File > Options and settings > Options > Preview Features > New format pane.
