Hi,
I'm trying to look into how easy/difficult it is to connect from Power Bi to either Salesforce or Bullhorn CRMs i.e. are there any particular limitations.
Currently I'm connected to Microsoft Dynamics via it's API using Odata feed in Power Bi.
Does anyone know if the process is similar to Salesforce/Bullhorn
Thanks.

Hi @Peppearson ,
As far as I know, currently Power BI doesn't support us to connect to Bullhorn directly. However Power BI support us to connect to Salesforce by Salesforce Object/ Salesforce Report connector.

If you want to connect to Bullhorn or Salesforce by REST API, please make sure whether they support REST API.
For reference:
Using a REST API as a data source
Or you can pull data via their open REST API. Here is a link to Bullhorn API documentation, which will get you started.
You can build an ETL package which dumps the data into a SQL DB and pulls down modified records every hour and updates/inserts.
Then point Power BI at the SQL tables (import) or (Direct) for live reports, using the on promise data gateway to automatically pull the most recent data when the report is loaded in PowerBi.com.

Hi @Peppearson ,were you able to find a solution? As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Salesforce connector in the data sources list:
After that, just grant access to your Salesforce account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your Salesforce fields:
There just select the fields you need. It is also compatible with custom fields and custom objects, so you'll be able to export them through windsor. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
