Change the "Grouping" in the Table based on User Input (Slicer)

New to power BI and kind of stuck at proper way of accomplishing this task. Any examples to work will be helpful.

Basically the "Grouping" the dimension column which is in the table should change based on the Slicer.

Slicer can be static Text like

"Fiscal Year" , "Fiscal Month in Year".

Now, if we select "Fiscal Year", the first column should come from a Date Dim table which has column called "Fiscal Year" and there is other column too which is "Fiscal Month in Year" and it should group it based on that column if we select the 2nd value in the Slicer...

I tried an example using SELECTEDVALUE in the DAX but that returns the TEXT and not the actual column...

You are trying to do too much too soon.  Have your report users actually asked for this?

Read about "Personalize Visuals", and also read about Field Parameters.  Between them they can create a more agreeable User Experience (UX).

Hi @malam0608,

It seems like you want dynamic switch the filter from different table fields, right? For this scenario, I'd like to suggest you try the field parameter features:
