Bypassing MFA to automate data refreshing using REST API

Hi, 

I'm trying to refresh dataset using PowerBI REST API and PowerShell, but my account is using Multi-factor Authentication (Authenticator app to be specific). Is it possible to refresh dataset from this account, by solely executing a PowerShell script, without any human interaction?

Hi @vuphong ,

 

You don't need to disable the MFA for your account. Instead you can overcome the issue with using SPN

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embed-service-principal

 

Just upgrade your workspace to v2.
