Beginner need help and guidance to develop the first project

I'm seeking guidance to develop a project using Power BI. The aim of the project is to determine the optimal stock levels for two types of raw materials, which are subdivided into various categories with different characteristics. These stocks must be capable of meeting the factory's demand, which varies according to several variables.

An important aspect is that the raw materials have an expiration date, and it's crucial to use them within this timeframe in the production line to avoid waste. Additionally, we are monitoring the expiration dates within ranges to get an idea of when they are nearing expiration.

I appreciate any guidance or suggestions you can offer to steer the development of this project in Power BI.

Please be aware that Power BI is a reporting solution, not an inventory or material management solution.  Power BI has no memory, and no concept of variables.

The aim of the project is to determine the optimal stock levels for two types of raw materials,

Depending on the complexity of that process Power BI may not be able to do that, and may not be the right tool.
