Access Token/Embedding Reports into ASP.NET WebForms

moved from Service

I have been looking at/using this repo as a way to guide myself along the way:

https://github.com/microsoft/PowerBI-CSharp

I was able to get the report embedded into and working with mvc structure. For work obligations I need it be used in web forms and unfortunately, I'm not well versed in web forms.

Here is the specific code in question. It is at the bottom of the readme file:

If I could get some help as to what and how the above statements work, documentation, anything, it would help out a lot. I have been unable to find any thing useful on the web as to how they work.

Hi @Anonymous,

The basic power bi embedded is used iframe with corresponding tokens and root report keys to pull data from power bi side. (group, report, visual id)

For these steps, you need to invoke the embed API on the controller level with initialization operations with corresponding token and keys, then you can binding it to your web form controls to loading embedded report contents.
