Hello,
I have a table which is the result of a group by, so it has 1 column ExtractionDate (texte format : "20221225") and 1 column "Number of lines" (which is a integer).
In the data model, I have set "Number of lines" to "Do not summarize". First, why does Power BI chooses "Sum" by default instead of "Do not summarize" here ? I would think that if I want to do additional calculations, I would do it myself...
I then want to display this in a line chart. I put ExtractionDate in my X axis and "Number of lines" in my Y axis. By default it chooses the aggregation "Number" for my Y axis. I get that (the ExtractionDate is in the right order because I have sorted the data that way in my transformation steps) but it is not of course the graph I want to show :
But then, when I change from "Number" to "Sum", I get the expected graph EXCEPT that it reverses the "ExtractionDate"...
Why is that and how can I have the ExtractionDate in the correct original order AND the expected graph ?
Hello,
I did nothing else that what I've described above.
What is this difference you make on sorting the visual on "value" or on "axis column" ?
For you the behaviour I have is normal ? I don't understand the logic behind, if you can enlighten me please.
